Jesse Rosenthal

Head of US Financials

As Head of US Financials, Jesse helps drive CreditSights’ research efforts across the various financial sectors and serves as Senior Analyst for large banks and brokers, and specialty finance. He has been on the financials research team at CreditSights since 2009, initially covering banks and brokers before transitioning into IG and HY specialty finance in 2011, with an emphasis on consumer asset classes including credit cards, student loans, and auto financing. He has additional sector expertise in commercial real estate, having also been the Senior Analyst on REITs prior to his current role. Jesse received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics from Wesleyan University.

Peter Simon, CFA

Senior Analyst – US Banks and Brokers

Peter joined CreditSights in 2009 and is a senior analyst covering North American banks and brokers. As part of the U.S. banks team, Peter has spent 10 years working extensively on the sector’s post-crisis regulatory and operating trends, and currently is lead analyst for the large broker-dealers, custody banks, and regional banks. Peter has also covered the Canadian bank sector since 2013 and launched CreditSights’ coverage of Brazilian banks in 2016. Prior to joining CreditSights Peter was in the Financial Institutions Group at National Australia Bank, after working in credit risk management at Deutsche Bank. Peter became a CFA charterholder in 2015, and is a graduate of Middlebury College.

Joshua Kramer

Senior Analyst – Special Situations

Joshua Kramer joined CreditSights in November 2022 as a Senior Analyst focused on special situations and distressed credits. Prior to this he was a founding partner of BirchLane Capital where he was the Head of Research. Previously, spent 19 years at JPMorgan where he was a trading desk credit analyst focused on distressed and special situations investing in public and private credit as well as structured credit derivative products. Josh graduated from Swarthmore College with a B.A. in Economics.
