The global semiconductor supply shortage began in late 2020 and, despite some bouts of optimism in the first half of 2021, the issue is far from resolved. Semiconductors have become important inputs for vehicle production over the years, as the chips are increasingly used in a variety of applications including temperature and pressure sensors, advanced driver assist / safety systems, connectivity, and infotainment. The supply shortage has driven auto production stoppages around the world and we expect more production will be lost before the issue is resolved. Our global autos, auto supplier and semiconductor analysts discuss (1) how we got here, (2) how the problem gets solved, (3) how OEMs can avoid future chip supply problems and (4) which autos companies we see as winners and losers in the ongoing shortage. This webinar will include the opportunity for live Q&A.
