Managing Director at Houlihan Lokey

Jeffery Dorst

Mr. Dorst is a Managing Director and Liability Management practice leader in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group. He has more than two decades of experience in the debt capital markets providing balance sheet management solutions to issuers and leading the structuring and execution of transactions, including cash tender offers, exchange offers, and consent solicitations. Mr. Dorst is based in the firm’s New York office.
Mr. Dorst brings global transaction experience in high-yield, leveraged loans, convertible securities, and investment-grade and emerging-markets debt. He has represented such issuers as Affinion, Bausch Health, Carlson Travel, CBS, CEDC, Dex One, Dominican Republic, EOG Resources, Hutchinson Technologies, KEPCO, Luckin Coffee, PEMEX, PetSmart, Republic of Argentina, Republic of Colombia, U.S. Steel, and Walmart.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Dorst was an Executive Director and Co-Head of the Liability Management Group at UBS. Before UBS, he held similar positions at Credit Suisse First Boston and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Mr. Dorst started his career at Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. in the Financial Institutions Division.
In addition, Mr. Dorst is the Corporate Action Advisor to The Credit Roundtable, a bondholder advocacy organization comprising more than 45 institutional investors in the U.S. Investment Grade marketplace. He has also been a presenter and conference panelist for the European Leveraged Finance Association and the Canadian Bond Investor’s Association. Mr. Dorst is also the firm’s principal representative to the Emerging Markets Trade Association.
Mr. Dorst holds a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Bucknell University.

Jane Gray

Jane is a dual-qualified solicitor with more than 15 years of experience in the European leveraged finance market, having worked on leveraged finance documentation through multiple credit cycles, including on the first "cov-lite” loan in Europe. Jane practised law at Dentons and Lovells, and as an in-house lawyer at Credit Mutuel - CIC specialising in European syndicated loans and direct lending. Before joining Covenant Review in 2015 to build its European research products, Jane was Head of Legal at DebtXplained, building both their loan and high yield bond platforms. Jane now serves as the Head of European Research, covering the high yield bond and leveraged loan markets in Europe, and providing covenant analysis to the investor community on the largest top-tier sponsor deals coming to market. She represents Covenant Review on the Board of the High Yield Division of the Association for Financial Markets in Europe and as a member of the Loan Market Association.

Alexander Diaz-Matos

Alexander graduated from Oberlin College in 1999, obtained a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2002, and received an L.L.M. (master of laws) from the University of Amsterdam in 2003. Alexander has analyzed a wide array of corporate bonds since beginning working with Covenant Review in 2006. He is principally focused on investment grade issuers with perceived event risk and analyzing the critical variances that may result in covenant arbitrage opportunities among their bonds.

Helen Rodriguez

Helen joined Creditsights as Senior European High Yield Analyst with a focus on European Retail and Consumer in January 2017; she is now Head of European Special Situations. Helen has over twenty years of experience in the European credit markets. She was part of Merrill Lynch's ground-breaking sell side research team which kicked off the European High Yield market with the first European High Yield bond in 1997. In 2000, Helen moved to Deutsche Bank to set up and run the High Yield research team. Since then Helen has been a desk analyst for High Yield and Distressed bonds and loans back at Merrill Lynch and also at BNP Paribas and CRT Capital. She worked on the LBO team in Bankers Trust Madrid and JP Morgan London. She read Modern History at Oxford University and has an MBA from IESE in Barcelona.
