High Yield and Leveraged Loan Covenants
Join Covenant Review lawyers for their three-part High Yield & Leveraged Loan Covenant Fundamentals: Building Knowledge & Understanding the Basics Series.
The Capital Structure, Restricted Group & Value Leakage Through Restricted Payments and Permitted Investments
Session one will set the groundwork for understanding covenant analysis. This will include looking at a leveraged
capital structure, typical “soft” versus “hard” credit support, what is “in the box,” and how to assess value leakage risk that can transfer assets out of reach of creditors. This session covers the Restricted Payments covenant, often the least understood but most critical provision in a covenant package.
How the Restricted Payments covenant is designed to protect value,
The scope of the covenant, and the type of payments, purchases and investments it restricts,
Why the covenant is so important,
How to think about investment capacity.
The presentation will be followed by networking drinks and the opportunity to connect with our lawyers and others within the industry.
