Peter became CEO of the company in December 2015. He was an original investor and Co-Founder of CreditSights. Peter has been responsible for a range of activities within CreditSights including the restructuring and expansion of the company's global sales force and direct oversight of the globally integrated research teams. Peter draws heavily on the breadth of perspective that he developed during his 20+ years in the discipline of corporate, sovereign, and emerging markets research. During that time, the quality of his research work in the face of rapidly changing market dynamics and increasingly frequent bouts of sovereign and regional credit stress earned him broad professional recognition. Peter has been recognized in various investor polls in Emerging Markets Strategy, Sovereign Debt Research, Canadian Debt, and Asian Debt Research. Among Peter's achievements, Institutional Investor ranked him as the #1 Sovereign Debt analyst for five consecutive years.
Prior to founding CreditSights Inc. in 2000, Peter was a Managing Director and Head of Global Emerging Market Debt Strategy at Deutsche Bank (1997 to 2000), where he was responsible for a group of analysts located in London, New York, San Francisco, and Singapore and was the principal strategist for the Global Markets Emerging Markets business. From 1988 to 1997, Peter was the Senior Sovereign Debt Strategist and Yankee Bond analyst at Lehman Brothers, after arriving from DLJ. Peter graduated from Princeton University with an AB in History in 1988.
Chris is President of CreditSights. He has covered High Yield and Investment Grade credit for CreditSights for 15 years and previously covered the Global TMT, Global Paper/Packaging, Autos sectors. He joined the company in 2001, working on the industrials team before being named Senior Analyst, Paper/Packaging in 2004. In 2006, Chris moved to London to build our European High Yield effort, where he shifted his research focus to global Telco/Cable/Satellite. While there he also was a team leader for European Non-Financials. Chris returned to New York in 2010, expanding his coverage to US credits in the Telco/Cable sectors. Chris was named Head of Global TMT in 2014 and took over as Global Head of Research in 2015. Chris graduated from Colby College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and completed his CFA in 2004.
Bala Subramanian is the Chief Product and Technology Officer at CreditSights and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Prior to joining CreditSights Bala was at S&P Global where he held a number of leadership roles, including Head of Technology for M&A and Partnerships, Chief Development Officer of S&P Capital IQ and CTO of S&P Dow Jones Indices. Bala was also a member of S&P Global’s Venture Investment Committee. Early in his career, Bala was a Project Lead at a fintech startup that developed an industry-leading SaaS offering for small and medium-sized financial institutions. He later served at number of major buy & sell side firms, including Citigroup and Societe Generale, focusing on portfolio management and trading. Bala holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Honors from Madras University and an MBA in Finance from NYU's Stern School of Business.
Jordan Gellatly joined CreditSights in June of 2019 and is responsible for all facets of financial management, including financial planning and analysis, controllership, reporting, etc. He brings 15+ years of experience in various disciplines of corporate finance.
Prior to CreditSights, Jordan was Senior Finance Director for S&P Dow Jones Indices, the division of S&P Global that produces market-leading indices like the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average. While at S&P Dow Jones Indices, Jordan led all financial planning and analysis activities, all financial operations activities, and all M&A finance activities.
Jordan graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Operations Management. He also holds an MBA and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York.
David is the firm's Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and general counsel, and advises the firm and its management on various issues, including legal and regulatory matters. David is a member of the firm's Executive Committee and on the CreditSights, Inc. Board of Directors. He possesses more than 20 years of experience specializing in corporate finance transactions. Previously, David was senior vice president at MacKay Gardner Capital Partners. From 1999 to 2002, he was a senior vice president at Instinet, where he was responsible for executing M&A activities and a portfolio of financial services venture investments such as WR Hambrecht, Archipelago and Starmine, while directing business development efforts and leading the company's initial public offering in 2001. As a vice president at Citibank's asset-backed securities group in London, he originated, structured, and executed ABS transactions. He previously worked at GE Capital in Connecticut and London. David received a JD from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University.
David is Global Head of Research at CreditSights. He is also a member of the firm's Executive Committee.
David has worked in both research and sales at CreditSights. He joined the company in 2004 as head of European sales. And moved into a research role as a credit strategist in 2006. From 2011 he managed the European credit strategy team and ran the investment committee in London, working with analysts to develop relative value recommendations on a top-down and bottom-up basis. In 2016 he was made Head of European and Asian Research and took over management of the sales functions of those two regions in 2017. In 2018 David was Chief Revenue Officer at CreditSights with responsibility for the revenue functions within the firm.
Prior to joining CreditSights David was the editor of Credit Magazine covering the early development of the euro-denominated corporate bond market. And before that, David was a journalist on Emerging Markets Investor magazine, starting in 1999 in the wake of the Russia default up until Argentina's default in 2001.
He attended Southampton University, receiving a degree in Economics and Philosophy in 1998. He holds a Master's Degree in Finance, specializing in quantitative finance, from London Business School.
As head of the company's European business unit, Simon is also a member of the firm's Executive Committee and is on the CreditSights, Inc. Board of Directors. He joined CreditSights as Senior European Financial Analyst in 2003. Prior to that he was a Managing Director, Head of European High Grade Research and Senior European Bank analyst at Deutsche Bank (1996-2003). Simon worked at rating agency IBCA, now part of FitchRatings, from 1987 to 1996 where in addition to covering banks in various European countries he was an Executive Committee member. Simon started his career in 1983 at Midland Bank's International Division, spending four years there in a variety of roles. He read Modern Languages at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, graduating in 1983.
Pramod Shenoi is responsible for steering the firm's operations in the region and growing its research team and coverage. He joined CreditSights in December 2019 to Head Asia Pacific research for Financial Institutions, which he continues to be responsible for. Prior to joining CreditSights, Pramod spent 17 years in Debt Capital Markets covering Financial Institutions clients in Asia and Europe.
Pramod joined Lehman Brothers’ DCM FIG origination team in London in 2002, covering UK and Irish banks and insurers, and transitioned to Nomura in 2008. He moved to Standard Chartered in Singapore as a founding member and subsequently head of the DCM Capital solutions team in 2010, advising the bank’s clients in Asia, the Middle East, and LatAm on Basel III compliant instruments, corporate hybrids, bond liability management and sustainability bonds, before heading Mizuho Securities’ DCM FIG coverage in Asia (ex- Japan) between 2016-2019.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Mark joined CreditSights in 2007. He is Co-Head of European High Yield and covers the European Telecoms and Media sectors. Before joining CreditSights, Mark worked in Shanghai as a project manager with Chinese market research firm C-Insight. He received a BA degree in international studies and religious studies from Colby College in 2005 and a graduate diploma in China studies from Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University.
Sandra is head of CreditSights’ Asian business and guides the company’s regional strategy, including its research output and business development. She has been based in Singapore since 2006 and joined CreditSights in 2011. Her current research coverage focuses on Chinese high yield industrials.
Prior to joining CreditSights, Sandra was a director in Barclays Capital’s Asian credit research team, covering North Asian corporates. She has also worked in Singapore as a high yield analyst at Credit Suisse and a high yield and distressed debt analyst at UBS Principal Finance. Sandra began her career at JPMorgan in London, working in the European real estate M&A division and later in the bank’s European credit research team. Her research experience has included high yield, distressed and investment grade credits across a variety of sectors and regions, including Chinese property, Indonesian high yield, Asian private placements, European retail and European and US autos.
Sandra graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MA in Italian and French. She is a native Cantonese speaker and holds a diploma in modern Chinese from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. She is a CFA Charterholder.
With two decades of experience analyzing credit markets, Erin directs CreditSights’ IG research and publishes on a wide range of market and macroeconomic themes, as well as leading the firm’s client engagement. She is a frequent panelist and commentator for industry events, and media like the WSJ, Barron’s and Bloomberg. Prior to joining CreditSights Ms. Lyons was a publishing credit strategist at Citigroup and a portfolio manager at Brigadier Capital Management, a long/short credit hedge fund. In addition, she covered the high yield technology sector at both JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank. Erin holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Chris is CreditSights’ US Head of Research. Prior to this role, he managed our coverage of the Consumer sectors and led our macro effort on the US Consumer. Chris’ primary coverage responsibility has been as the Senior Analyst for High Grade and High Yield US and European Gaming/Lodging/Leisure. Chris covered Caesars and MGM through the credit crisis and its aftermath. He joined the company in 2004 and has covered a variety of sectors including Chemicals, Metals & Mining, and Consumer Products. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Hamilton College. Chris is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of New York.
